Gübelin, prestigieuse maison Genevoise, extrêmement réputée pour ses créations joaillières, mais également pour ses montres sublimes, rivalisant d'élégance et de qualité avec des maisons tel que Patek Philippe et Vacheron Constantin.
Notre montre d'observatoire fait partie de ces modèles exceptionnels et rares.
En effet, en 1954, pour les 100 ans de la maison, Gübelin réalise cette petite série anniversaire limitée à 200 exemplaires numérotés.
Cent exemplaires ont étés produits en seconde centrale et cent avec la seconde à six heures, comme notre exemplaire.
Sur ces cent modèles produits en seconde à six heures, la majorité étaient en or jaune et seulement une dizaine ont étés produites en or blanc.
Equipée du merveilleux Valjoux VZSS provenant de chez Audemars Piguet, cette montre est digne des meilleures productions horlogères du 20eme siècle!

Our observatory watch is one of these exceptional and rare models.
Indeed, in 1954, for the brand's 100th anniversary, Gübelin produced this small anniversary series limited to 200 numbered pieces.
One hundred pieces were produced with a central seconds hand and one hundred with a seconds hand at six o'clock, like our example.
Of these one hundred models produced with a seconds hand at six o'clock, the majority were in yellow gold, and only about ten were produced in white gold.
Equipped with the marvelous Valjoux VZSS from Audemars Piguet, this watch is worthy of the finest watchmaking productions of the 20th century!
