La collection Monza a été lancée en 1976, pour célébrer l'exploit historique de Ferrari, qui a remporté les championnats de Formule 1 des constructeurs et des pilotes, pour la première fois depuis 1964.
La Monza a marqué la première utilisation par Heuer d'un boîtier à revêtement noir. En plus de s'avérer être un modèle populaire proposé dans diverses configurations, la Monza a ouvert la voie à Heuer pour introduire d'autres modèles à revêtement noir à la fin des années 1970 et au début des années 1980, notamment les modèles Carrera, Montréal et Monaco.
Avec son boîtier revêtu de noir et l'utilisation de peinture noire, rouge et lumineuse sur le cadran, la Monza capturait l'esprit de course du circuit légendaire qui a donné son nom au modèle et où Heuer a célébré son partenariat triomphant avec l'équipe de course Ferrari.



The Monza collection was launched in 1976 to celebrate Ferrari's historic achievement, winning both the Formula 1 Constructors' and Drivers' Championships for the first time since 1964.
The Monza marked Heuer's first use of a black-coated case. In addition to proving a popular model offered in a variety of configurations, the Monza paved the way for Heuer to introduce other black-coated models in the late 1970s and early 1980s, including the Carrera, Montreal, and Monaco models.
With its black-coated case and the use of black, red, and luminous paint on the dial, the Monza captured the racing spirit of the legendary circuit that gave the model its name and where Heuer celebrated its triumphant partnership with the Ferrari racing team.
