Voici un pur collector : la Royal Oak Chronographe 41 mm entièrement réalisée en céramique noire.
Cette génération a été lancée en 2022 pour célébrer les 50 ans de la Royal Oak. Elle représente probablement la version la plus aboutie des chronographes Royal Oak en céramique, avec notamment l’arrivée du calibre manufacture 4401 à fonction flyback, offrant 70 heures de réserve de marche.
Ce qui est absolument incroyable avec cette montre, c’est évidemment sa matière. Historiquement, pour obtenir une montre entièrement noire, on avait souvent recours à des traitements de surface comme le PVD. Ici, ce n’est pas un revêtement : le boîtier et le bracelet sont véritablement façonnés en céramique noire, avec les finitions satinées et polies caractéristiques de la Royal Oak.
Le résultat est spectaculaire au poignet. Le noir de la céramique contraste avec les touches d’or rose du cadran Grande Tapisserie, des index, des aiguilles et des compteurs. La montre possède une présence incroyable tout en offrant une sensation de légèreté très particulière.
Ce n’est pas une série limitée, mais c’est une montre extrêmement peu produite et particulièrement difficile à obtenir. Les exemplaires ont d’ailleurs atteint des niveaux très importants sur le marché secondaire, avec notamment une vente chez Phillips à 101 600 CHF.
Celle-ci est rigoureusement neuve, full set, avec sa boîte et ses papiers.
C’est une montre absolument incroyable à porter, à la fois moderne, technique et spectaculaire. Une des Royal Oak Chronographe les plus abouties et les plus désirables de cette génération.

This generation was launched in 2022 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Royal Oak. It is arguably the most accomplished version of the Royal Oak Chronograph in ceramic, notably featuring the in-house caliber 4401 with flyback function and a 70-hour power reserve.
What is truly incredible about this watch is, of course, its material. Historically, achieving an entirely black watch often meant relying on surface treatments such as PVD. Here, that is not the case: the case and bracelet are genuinely made from black ceramic, with the signature satin-brushed and polished finishes of the Royal Oak.
The result is spectacular on the wrist. The black ceramic contrasts beautifully with the rose-gold accents of the Grande Tapisserie dial, hour markers, hands and sub-dials. The watch has an incredible presence while offering a very distinctive sense of lightness.
This is not a limited edition, but it is an extremely low-production watch and particularly difficult to obtain. Examples have reached very significant levels on the secondary market, including a sale at Phillips for CHF 101,600.
This particular example is absolutely brand new and comes as a full set, complete with its box and papers.
It is an absolutely incredible watch to wear: modern, technical and spectacular all at once. One of the most accomplished and desirable Royal Oak Chronographs of its generation.
